PEN相信，生活的價值不只在於擁有什麼，而在於我們如何理解眼前的人、事與物。自日本發行以來，PEN長期關注藝術、設計、建築、人物、旅行、飲食與各種生活文化，從不同角度探索時代與日常之間的關係。
我們不只是介紹值得關注的事物，更希望透過編輯的觀點，重新發現那些容易被忽略的美好。對PEN而言，文化並非遙遠的知識，而是存在於我們每天使用的物件、走過的城市、遇見的人，以及選擇如何生活的每一個細節之中。

日本的編輯文化，遇見台灣的藝術策展。
PEN源自日本Magazine House長期累積的出版與編輯文化。多年來，PEN以獨特的視角探索日本與世界的藝術、設計及生活，建立起跨越世代的文化影響力。
PEN Taiwan則由長期投入藝術策展、展覽製作、藝術家交流與日本當代藝術的台灣團隊經營。我們相信，日本的編輯視野與台灣的藝術策展經驗，可以在這裡產生新的連結。
因此，PEN Taiwan不是單純將一本日本雜誌翻譯成中文，而是以PEN的精神為起點，從台灣的視角重新理解日本，也讓台灣的文化與創意被更多人看見。

從內容出發，我們持續連結藝術、設計、品牌、空間與人物，讓文化不只被閱讀，也能被看見、被理解、被體驗，最後真正進入日常生活。
未來，PEN Taiwan將以內容為核心，持續發展數位媒體、實體空間、文化活動與品牌合作，建立一個連結日本與台灣的生活文化平台。
我們相信，好的文化不應該只是被收藏在書頁裡。
它應該成為生活的一部分。

A good life begins with understanding.
PEN believes that the value of life lies not simply in what we own, but in how we understand the people, objects, places and ideas around us.
Since its launch in Japan, PEN has explored art, design, architecture, people, travel, food and the many dimensions of contemporary life. Through an editorial perspective, PEN seeks to uncover the stories and values hidden within the everyday.
For us, culture is not something distant or academic. It exists in the objects we use, the cities we walk through, the people we encounter, and the choices we make about how we live.

Japanese editorial culture meets Taiwan’s curatorial perspective.
PEN Taiwan is rooted in the editorial culture and publishing heritage of Japan’s Magazine House. Over the years, PEN has developed a distinctive perspective on art, design and contemporary life in Japan and around the world, building a cultural voice that reaches across generations.
In Taiwan, PEN is operated by a team with a long-standing background in art curation, exhibitions, artist relations and cultural exchange, particularly between Taiwan and Japan.
We believe that the meeting of Japanese editorial sensibility and Taiwan’s curatorial experience can create something new.
PEN Taiwan is therefore more than a translated edition of a Japanese magazine. It is a platform that brings PEN’s perspective into conversation with Taiwan, while creating new connections between Japanese and Taiwanese culture.

Our ambition in Taiwan goes beyond publishing a magazine.
Starting with editorial content, we connect art, design, brands, spaces and people—creating opportunities for culture to be seen, understood and experienced, and ultimately to become part of everyday life.
PEN Taiwan is building a cultural platform that connects Japan and Taiwan through print, digital media, physical spaces, cultural programs and collaborations with brands and creative communities.
We believe that meaningful culture should not remain confined to the pages of a magazine.
It should become part of the way we live.
